Hagen Family Portraits | Charleston, South Carolina

There is something so magical about portrait sessions in Charleston. As a city, it seriously has beauty on every street and in every corner! I could photograph families and couples in love for weeks on end here!

When Kayla asked me to capture her family vacation there, I couldn’t wait! Three generations of a family together radiating love and laughter? You already know that we had the best time walking around together! We tried several local places such as Millers and Taco Boy. But you know we also had to hit the classics! The Battery provided the perfect backdrop, as well as the famous Rainbow Row and Pineapple Fountain.

Getting to explore this city with this family and capture their vacation was a highlight for me as I kick off the fall season!

Why Charleston?

This trip was an absolute dream. If there is one destination I’d love to photograph more, it’s Charleston. The history, the architecture, the light, the scent of salt in the air… I’m all in. I love this city so much I even got there early so that I could explore with my intern Marina. Even cooler? We met up with a fellow creative and photographer, Janice from Janice Jones Photography!
