Hey, friends! I'm Elizabeth.

BUT EVERYONE CALLS ME BETH

Wedding & portrait photographer, blogger, married to my handsome Georgia man and mama to our sweet Connor & yorkie Bailey Lane.

Enjoy meeting the Hill crew!

Most days you can find me in black leggings, drinking multiple cups of coffee (black always), listening to a podcast or watching the entire Downton Abbey seasons on repeat. I could eat stovetop popcorn for any meal, sushi when I can convince Scott to take me to Blacksburg and watching my sweet baby Connor splash in the tub and count ducks is my favorite part of the day.

I honestly believe that joy is a choice, I'm an adventurer, a lover of deep friendships and my bags are always packed for Disney World.

I started EHP because I wanted it to be just how I live my own life: honest, real and completely unfiltered. I share my life openly on social media because I believe we can be the catalyst of change of bringing joy back to the little screens we carry in our pockets. We can be better. We can love deeper...and that’s what I want my photography to always show each person I meet.

I also happen to be married to the biggest stud ever, Scott who reminds me to be intentional, be kind and to not take life so seriously. One example of that is when we decided to start a family. I’m an impatient kind of person sometimes, but Scott is that slow and steady. God made us wait...a long time, and when I finally held our son Connor in my arms, I remember looking straight at Scott and being amazed at how life just kind of, works out exactly when God says it’s time.

There is no greater joy we have than being Connor’s parents, and I believe it’s made my approach to photography even that more simple: to tell your love story that is unique to you. No matter what season of life you are in, you have a story that has the power to impact others and help remind you of the valleys and mountains life will throw at you.

So, let’s do this already. Let’s capture your love story!

my why

Words will never cover what these two guys mean to me. When I married Scott, we couldn't wait to start a family - but God had other plans. After months and months of infertility and countless doctors visits, I still remember the night I walked in the bedroom to tell Scott I was pregnant. Being a mother and wife are the greatest titles I'll ever hold and they are the reason why I'm so passionate about EHP and capturing peoples love stories. My mission is to bring more joy to every person I meet and for Jesus to use me in the process.

He's writing the story, I'm just along for the ride.

My whole world changed in 2018 when I had my son, Connor. After a long time of infertility and too many articles to count about what might be wrong, holding him in my arms & now watching him run through the whole house screaming MAMAMAMAMAMA is unreal.

My most precious moments are at night when I crawl in the bed, rock him to sleep and listen to him breathe a sigh of relief that I’m close. I prayed for those moments for years and I just love that God chose me to be his mom.

being a mom

Scott and I met while serving at our local church. I spotted him in the main area and after looking at Facebook, he was taken. So I waited, befriended him, and a year later, he asked me out on a date. After 11 months of dating and 4.5 months of being engaged, we tied the knot on in January 2016. He's my best friend and he is my number one encourager. I don't think there has ever been anything that Scott thought I didn't have the ability to do. He's such an incredible husband and an even better dad and I love doing life with him!

MARRYING A GEORGIA BOY

In college, I new I wanted to do something I'd never heard of anyone doing from my little one lighted town: work at Disney World! My parents had taken us several times as kids and it was a dream of mine to work for the mouse! Fast forward to my freshman year of college and I came across a program called "The Disney College Program". I took classes online, moved to Orlando and worked at Hollywood Studios for half a year!

Needless to say, it's still my favorite place to go to date. Scott and I refresh and recharge by heading to FL for 10 days as often as we can, eating at all our favorite restaurants and doing something as simple as riding the people mover as soon as we get into Magic Kingdom. It's also where we announced we were pregnant!

working & vacationing at disney

I say that....but then I must explain. I'm very very fickle about my popcorn. I don't think I have had MICROWAVE popcorn more than 5 times in my life and I must have been desperate every time, because if there is one thing my dad taught me growing up it's this - popcorn is meant to be cooked on the stove.

Whenever I'm hungry for nothing, I make popcorn. When I want to watch a movie, there has to be popcorn. When I'm up editing late, my sweet husband makes a bowl of popcorn and sits it next to me on the couch. It's a staple in my life and I don't know how to live without it.

EATING POPCORN....DAILY.

If I could go on 10 vacations a year with Scott and Connor, I would! I love packing a suitcase, getting in the car, and getting away from the daily grind of it all. I'd rather have a whole lot of experiences than a whole lot of stuff collecting dust.

Some of my greatest memories have been on family vacations, adventures with Scott or capturing people's love in a new place! I know it's cliche, but life truly is so short and I'd rather be out there living it with my favorite people than sitting at home with lots of stuff around me!

love notes

fun fact

I love Virginia Tech. It’s where I went to college, where I found my faith, and where my husband asked me to marry him. I think the whole world is right when I’m sitting on the drillfield, watching the sunset, eating a spicy asian chicken wrap from West End.

Love Disney as much as me?
