Gabrielle + Wesley

Gabrielle and Wesley’s downtown Atlanta rooftop engagement session was an absolutely perfect modern take on timeless ideas. There is something dreamy and ethereal about mixing elegance and urban skylines that draws the eye. It’s hard to look away from these photos (and not just because the couple is perfect)!

Gabrielle brought all of the inspiration for this session. She wanted the photos to feel like they could be nestled somewhere in Manhattan, despite being taken in Atlanta. Captivating architecture and skylines really enhance the atmosphere and vibe around this dynamic couple. Don’t even get me started on their outfits! I can’t even figure out which I prefer: the timeless black on black formal duo or the white power suit and modern black sweater contrasting pair!

We started out by exploring around the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta before moving to the top level of a nearby parking garage.

Trend Alert: Rooftop Parking Lots

One aspect of being a photographer is keeping the pulse of what is trending on Pinterest. Downtown skylines captured from the roof of parking lots in the background is absolutely on fire right now. I loved that Gabrielle and Wesley wanted to incorporate this idea! Atlanta has one of the most iconic skylines in the south between Midtown and Downtown; if it’s your home, why not incorporate it?

Personally, I love the way that we incorporated the bottle of champagne once up on the parking garage. It’s a fun splash of personality that captures who Gabrielle and Wesley are as a couple!
