Downtown Athens Engagement Session

Tanner and Dawson’s downtown Athens engagement session is bursting with light. Looking at these photos, I see this radiant glow emanating from the couple enhanced by the atmosphere around them. Perfection!

We had a lovely time walking through all the historic buildings of downtown Athens. As you can see, the sun was ready to put in that work with the best natural lighting! I love taking pictures in this area because everything comes together seamlessly. You would think I would get tired of the location as a local photographer, but for me, it’s always about the people in the pictures. As long as my couples are lovely people (and they all are), I’m always down!

Something Different

This couple found me via one of my Facebook galleries. She told me that my style was exactly what she’d been dreaming of. Can you even imagine how I felt hearing that? One of the best compliments that I’ve ever received! She said that she found the photos to be unique compared to what she’d been seeing on other blogs lately. Like all artists, I love when my art sells itself and I am so glad she immediately contacted me!

Just in case you need to hear it: When you are planning your wedding photography, it’s okay to want something different than what you’re seeing others you know did!

This collection of photos is pretty similar to one I just shared: Lauren and David’s session. I love that you can see how the surroundings allow the couple to shine! Both of these couples are getting married in May 2024 and I’m already counting down the days until I see how gorgeous they look! Any true wedding photographer will tell you how much they love walking their couples through all the different stages of the wedding, from engagement onwards. I’m no different!
