Olde Farm Wedding | Virginia

When I first met Katie at Starbucks just 6 weeks before her wedding, she looked me straight in the eye and said, “Beth, I just want to marry Chris! I want a simple day, with simple things, as long as I marry Chris at the end of it.” I could instantly tell that Katie and I were going to be great friends. Every time she talked about Chris, she smiled, and I honestly never wanted our simple coffee date to have to end!

You see, usually when I do weddings, I’m there from the moment it starts to the moment it ends, but on this occasion, Katie and Chris really only wanted me to be there to capture their ceremony, their family, and the reception with those they loved. It was such an honor and pleasure to get to spend a few hours with this incredible couple and their closest friends and family.

Nestled off the interstate on a private golf course, sits the Olde Farm Pavilion and Lodge where they got married. Surrounded by less than 100 of their favorite people, Katie and Chris promised forever to each other. It was raining that day, but the sun peeked out the moment they kissed and were announced to the crowd!

What followed was a fabulous meal together, with the golf course in the background, fire roaring in the stone fire place, and laugher coming from every table. Katie and Chris – your love is so special and so true. Thank you for trusting me to tell your love story on this day!

Thank you Chris & Katie for an incredible evening! Wishing you many years of happiness and so much love!
