I love when my seniors trust me and are down for anything! We were meeting Kailey and her mom at South Holston Dam, but as we were driving towards the top, I looked left and saw this field. I was like “Scott, I have to shoot here first!” When we met them and got out of the car, I said, “Kailey, if you trust me, I want to start in the field!” She replied, “Absolutely!” and off we went to make magic….and boy was it magic.

Have you ever seen this random field down at South Holston Dam? I have probably driven by it 10 times, but there was just something about how the light was catching that day as it set that I knew it was the perfect spot! That’s one of my favorite parts about being a photographer, is seeing spaces differently, so that you capture something differently for my clients!

There is also something so spectacular about the light 2 hours before sunset. It’s not just golden hour, it’s the perfect time to be creative. Kailey was such a joy to get to capture and I had so much fun with her! After we spent some time in the field, we decided to go up top and get the last of her photos as the sun was setting over the dam!
